48% of Bulgarians prefer to permanently stay on winter time
The results show that there is a certain prevalence of the position in support for staying on winter time.
Support for permanently staying on winter time was largest among women, people older than 59 and people from the countryside.
Support for permanently staying on summer time was largest among people aged between 30 and 40, those with higher education and residents of Sofia.
The profiles of those supporting these two positions are indicative that there are pragmatic and rational arguments among certain groups of people. This implies a broad and open discussion on the issue in order to reach an optimal choice. This will also give people without a say on the subject a chance to make their choice.
The findings of Exacta Research poll were released on 11th of October which is the final day for voting in an online survey launched by the Bulgarian government on the matter.
